Cease Salary Sacrifice Arrangement
Request to stop your pension salary sacrifice — The People's Pension
Before you proceed
Ceasing your salary sacrifice arrangement means your pension contributions will revert to the standard Net Pay Arrangement (NPA) basis. Your employer contribution of 5% will continue unchanged. This form must be submitted before the payroll cut-off date to take effect in the following pay period. Changes cannot be backdated.
Opting out of The People's Pension entirely?
This form ceases your salary sacrifice arrangement only. If you also want to opt out of the pension scheme completely, you must do this directly with The People's Pension — not through this form.
Cessation / Variation of Salary Sacrifice Agreement
By submitting this form I, the named employee, formally request the cessation or variation of my salary sacrifice arrangement with Crown Payroll Services Ltd, in accordance with the terms of my original salary sacrifice agreement and the Crown Payroll Services Pension Scheme Rules.
1. I understand that this request will take effect from the start of the next available pay period following the effective date I have specified, and that changes cannot be backdated.
2. I understand that on cessation, my pension contributions will revert to the standard Net Pay Arrangement (NPA) basis at the standard rate of 5% of total earnings, and that my employer contribution of 5% will continue unchanged.
3. I understand that ceasing salary sacrifice means I will no longer benefit from National Insurance savings on the sacrificed amount, and that my gross pay will return to my full contractual salary.
4. I understand that my accrued pension savings in The People's Pension are not affected by this change and remain in my pension pot.
5. I confirm this submission is made by me personally using my authenticated Crown Payroll Services staff portal account. The timestamp and reference number serve as the formal record of this cessation request.
Your request will be reviewed by the payroll team. A confirmation will be emailed to you and Dean Ainslie will be notified.
